It is important to phone The Language Assessment Centre at (204) 945 – 6300 for an appointment for a language assessment. Clients will need to bring immigration documents with them to show their eligibility.

How long does it take for an assessment?

The reading and writing skills assessment takes two to three hours, depending on the person's language level. Some clients must also return for another appointment – a listening and speaking skills assessment. This takes approximately 45 minutes.

Do I take anything to the appointment?

When clients arrive for their appointment, they must show their passport, landing papers or Minister's Permit and their Manitoba Health Card.
